Ok, so far the Mavs have brought back THJ on a really nice value deal now. It's not necessarily a 'discount', but it's good value. THJ is well worth $18M/year. Then they went out and signed Sterling Brown and Reggie Bullock, two guys who can shoot threes at a 40%+ clip and play some defense. So what's next? by my rough calculations, Dallas has about $10-11M remaining in cap space based on the first year of THJ's new deal being about $16-17M. Mavs could still get in on guys like DeMar DeRozan or big men Richaun Holmes and John Collins via sign-and-trade. And of course Goran Dragic is still very much in the mix. It just feels like the current moves are a precursor to something bigger, but maybe that's just my irrational Mavs optimism showing. Thoughts?
