and yeah ... great ... but ...
Upside: This is Luka-friendly. Boban is fun. And inside of his limitations, he is functional.
Downside: There is only so much room for 'backup centers' and I am kinda hoping Luka-friendly means HE is going to be a DRAW of real talent. not just fun pals.

They definitely don’t need this many. Makes me think one or two of the others could be involved In another transaction.

Mavs can go really big. Starting five is like: Luka, Maxi, Powell, KP, and Boban. We have reserves with Cauley-Stein and Moses Brown. What a squad!!

Yeah, but Boban was actually relied upon in the Mavs playoff run. They came up short but he actually had either the 2nd or 1st best +/- on the entire roster for his minutes.

I was a bit surprised but enjoyed watching the KP/Boban matchup from Rick Carlisle. I actually thought if he had stayed with it they had a chance to win game 6 but they didn't. Wanted to try and defend better more so than try and outscore the Clippers no doubt.

Be interesting to see if he's the 15th man for J. Kidd or if they get creative using him for matchups.

I love my Boby! To be honest, I never understood why RC played him as third string center when he was better than Stein at it. I don't think he can go for 20 – 25 minutes every game, but maybe 10 – 15 minutes and WCS can play the same with more on some. This leaves Dwight as trade bait.
